Steffi (Johnsonville)

Hi, My name is Steffi and I am a first-time Mum to one beautiful boy. I have about 5 years experience working with children as an early childhood teacher, and am embarking on this exciting journey so I can keep my son at home until he is a bit older.

I am fully qualified holding a Level 7 Graduate Diploma in ECE and am fully registered, have my first aid and full drivers licence. I am currently offering three days per week, and live very close to Johnsonville town centre, so library visits, parks and playgroups and sessions are easily accessible for me. Helston Park is just a few minutes walk away too so when your little one needs physical challenges and to burn off that extra energy, the park is close by! The indoor areas of my home are spacious and cosy, for those rainy and tired days! We love to read, sing, play music, do art work and of course make and eat delicious food! I also love to encourage kids to get messy in their play as they expand their horizons and engage all their senses - we have a cute covered outdoor space where all sorts of messy play can take place, allowing for kids to truly get stuck in! Getting outdoors is important to me too, and our fully-fenced garden has some cute veggie garden beds where we can explore how to grow our own foods and flowers. As a teacher and Mum, I like to allow children the space to engage and take their time figuring things out, in safe and guided spaces, where they can question, explore and develop at their own pace.  I believe in the high value of sunshine, fresh air and engaging all the senses, so if this sounds like the kind of learning environment for your wee one, get in touch!
