I am a fully qualified and registered Early Childhood Education (ECE) teacher with a First Aid Certificate, and I have been teaching since 2009. I live on a large station in Nūhaka, Hawkes Bay, with my husband and three busy boys, aged 9, 6, and 2. We currently have 11 chickens, three pigs, six working dogs, two pet dogs, four cats, and a few thousand sheep and cattle. My passion for teaching was evident when I was young, as I would often offer to babysit and gravitated towards caring for children. Sixteen years later, my love for teaching remains strong. On our farm, I provide a small, intimate setting with a 1:4 ratio of early learning. Our weekly activities include baking, cooking, painting, gluing, bush walks, monthly excursions, picnics, and much more. Most importantly, I encourage and help to foster confident, capable and happy young children.
