Kia ora, my name is Hazell, and I am an educator situated in Titahi Bay. I live with my partner and two fur babies. I have been brought up in a home-based environment, so ensuring children have a safe, loving, and nurturing environment that inspires children to develop into competent and confident individuals has become my passion. I am currently working towards completing my Level 4 Certificate in Early Childhood Education, have my Full Driver Licence and a current First Aid Certificate. I am also committed to continuing building my knowledge through regular professional development and training workshops provided by Nurtured at Home. I provide a secure, nurturing, supportive and friendly home environment, where both parents and children can feel welcome and comfortable and treated as equals. Children are encouraged and supported to grow and learn physically and emotionally through communication, exploration, and play. I provide a large range of resources and activities for the children to explore and learn with and most importantly, have fun. I regularly attend music, swimming, play groups and indoor playgrounds which enable the children to engage within larger group settings, enjoy sensory experiences, and develop water safety concepts. We also venture out on a regular basis to enjoy the outdoors exploring the local parks and walks along Titahi Bay Beach.
