Greta (Tauranga)

Hi, my name is Greta. I have 15 years working in the early childhood sector and hold a Bachelor of Teaching (Primary). I provide children with a relaxed and calm environment, one in which children feel safe to explore and take control of their own learning. I believe that every child is unique and should be encouraged to explore their interests, talents, and curiosities. I strongly believe in the value of home-based education – with the low ratios, it provides a higher quality of care and creates the opportunity to be out and about exploring the world around us. I love getting out and about enjoying our wonderful local natural spaces, such as beaches, bush walks and reserves. We also attend local playgroups, music and movement groups and visit the local library often. My home is fully fenced with a large yard, equipped with swings, slide and playhouse. My house backs on to a playground park reserve, which we visit often and enjoy playing, riding bikes and kicking the ball around. I have a fully dedicated playroom full of toys, books and resources for creative play and learning. We enjoy activities us as painting, messy play, loose parts play, gardening, baking and more.
