Update: 30th March 2020

Kia Ora,

As we enter the second week (first full week) of lock down I am reminded on a daily basis of how resilient our Nurtured at Home family is. The risk of contracting COVID-19 is still low if we follow the rules as set out by the Government. If you need to know more this is the link to get all your key information www.covid.govt.nz .

After the events of last week, the weekend was no doubt a welcome relief for most of us. It was quite an emotional roller coaster over those days, but it was important to just push through and make sure we had everything lined up so we could continue to support our Nurtured at Home team.

As mentioned last week we are absolutely committed to communicating with our family. You will receive regular emails and updates on our Facebook pages. Hopefully you won’t get bombarded with as many emails as you did last week. Having said that we are great believers in over-communicating during this time.

Below you will find notifications from the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Health and other resources including our Pandemic Plan for your information and so you are aware of the measures in place.

Thank you for your support and co-operation to work together to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Petra

Update: 19th March 2020

Kia Ora,

As part of the Nurtured at Home Team, I want to take this opportunity to acknowledge that we are in challenging times and that many of our community are anxious. The risk of contracting COVID-19 is still low at the moment and we are working hard behind the scenes to ensure we can provide our service to you, in line with Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education directives.

What is Nurtured at Home doing?

The health and safety of our team, Educators, Nannies, children and the communities we operate in is of the highest importance to us. COVID-19 is a changing situation and we are doing our best to minimise any disruptions.

We have set up a Pandemic Health & Safety Committee comprising of Nurtured at Home Owners Aaron and Petra Navanua along with Pam Wardrope. We will meet every week alongside regular scheduled calls. I want to reassure everyone that we are committed to act in the best long-term interests of the Nurtured at Home whānau to minimise the impact on the service we provide.

We have various methods of communicating with you all. Alongside email we will post updates on our closed Facebook pages accessible to parents and Educators/Nannies and our public Facebook page. We have set up an Educator/Nanny closed facebook page which will come online as soon as possible. We will also update our Website to include information on COVID-19.

Care and education as usual

We are currently monitoring the COVID-19 situation. Having said that, we are governed by Ministry of Health directives that will inform Ministry of Education guidelines. All of our Educators/Nannies have cleaning plans as part of our procedures, and we are strengthening these. All of our offices remain open at this stage and we have also strengthened our cleaning procedures here as well.

Continuing service

We have the ability to isolate and work from home if required. The infrastructure is available for us to do so. We are all clear about our obligations to everyone in Nurtured at Home. If we are unwell and have suspected cold or flu symptoms we won’t be coming to work. However we will still be contactable.

Lastly, we are absolutely committed to communicating with you and keeping you up-to-date with changes that may impact you.

Below you will find notifications from the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Health and other resources including our Pandemic Plan for your information and so you are aware of the measures in place.

Thank you for your support and co-operation to work together to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Petra
