First Aid

Nurtured at Home is committed to keeping children in care safe, and ensuring all Educators hold a current First Aid Certificate.  We are pleased to announce that we have sponsored one of our very own Visiting Teachers, Kristi Van Der Meys, to be certified to provide the Comprehensive Workplace First Aid and Paediatric First Aid for our Visiting Teachers and Educators. This provides us with ongoing flexibility to provide First Aid courses throughout our regions, and having a facilitator who understands a homebased environment is valuable for our Educators. Congratulations Kristi – this is a great service you can provide for Nurtured at Home.

There is a New Zealand Red Cross First Aid ‘app’ that you can download for your mobile phone called “First Aid & Emergency – Red Cross”.  This provides you with easy to access information on what to do in different scenarios. We recommend all of our Educators download this as additional support in case of emergency.
